Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
The short version
We collect as little as possible: anonymous, cookie-free visit statistics, and — only if you contact us — the details you choose to share. We never sell data and we don't run ad trackers.
Who we are
8purple ("we") is an engineering company. This policy covers the website you are reading. Questions and requests: hello@8purple.org.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices and does not follow you across other sites. We see aggregate numbers — which pages are read, from which countries, on which device classes — never an identified individual.
The contact form
When you submit the contact form we receive the data you typed: name, email, company, topic and your message. We use it for exactly one purpose — to reply.
- It is delivered to our team chat and stored in our own database, on infrastructure we operate ourselves (no third-party form processors).
- We keep submissions for as long as the conversation may be relevant, and delete them on request.
- Your IP address is recorded with the submission, solely for abuse and spam protection.
- No newsletters, no marketing lists, no sharing with third parties.
Cookies & local storage
The site sets no cookies. The contact form stores a single timestamp in your browser's local storage to prevent accidental duplicate submissions; it expires on its own and identifies nothing.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. One email to hello@8purple.org is enough.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantive changes will be noted on this page.
